Gifts are just a nice addition that allows players to express their emotions. They carry no practical use.

 

The app has a limit on sending gifts: you can send up to 50 gifts per hour and up to 100 gifts per day to each player. You can send an unlimited number of gifts at once, which will count as a single send.

 

 

There is also an option in the game "Gifts from friends only" that will be available at the sapphire level of the loyalty program.
