In order to delete a player from your friends you need to open the "friends list" from the lobby:

Choose the player you want to delete and open his profile. In order to do that press on his avatar:

Press the button shown on the screenshot:

If the friend was added automatically from the social network you need to delete him from friends there. The player will disappear from the friends list in the game too.
